Supporting your growth
I'm Dana Panetta LMHC-D, CASAC II. I provide psychotherapy to individuals who have experienced trauma or are currently experiencing grief. I am committed to helping men and women overcome relationship issues, poor self-confidence, symptoms of anxiety, anger issues, grief and loss, moral injury, and difficulties with alcohol use. I am passionate about supporting Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders, Veterans, Military Members, their Spouses and those in the sandwich generation navigating the challenges of a parent(s) with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
With over 13+ years of mental health counseling experience, I specialize in trauma and grief-informed care that blends evidence-based modalities—like EMDR and CBT with holistic, somatic, and solution-focused support. I honor your lived experience and believe deeply in your capacity to heal from your experiences and live a meaningful, empowered, and healthy life.
I also offer sessions that get us outside and moving through walking or Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, a powerful modality that fosters emotional insight, regulation, and connection through work with horses.
About Dana:
I'm a military spouse, a mother of three, and an involuntary member of the sandwich generation club. I enjoy exercising, laughing and playing with my family, and getting outside. I believe all of our lives are truly a wild ride at times, and I love integrating humor into my personal and professional lives when appropriate. A little endorphin boost through laughter can support the reintegration of body and mind during challenging times.
If you're looking for a real therapist (not a chat bot) near you in Albany, Saratoga Springs, or the surrounding Capital Region, I offer both in‑person and virtual therapy options.
